I tried Stitch Fix for the first time this week, and I was pleasantly surprised. I spent $20 and received five items in the mail. The $20 covers the shipping and styling fee. For me, that $20 fee is worth it by not having to load up the babies and all the gear and try things on with the kids.
So I received the following items:
- Maxi Dress
- Gold Feather Pendant
- Cherry Striped/Floral Top
- Cut-off jean shorts
- Bohemian navy top
While I wish that I loved the maxi dress, it clung too tight to my mid-section and that area is just not so toned after having babies. This dress would be wonderful for travel because the material does not wrinkle and feels compact, like it would not take up much space in a suitcase. I often judge dresses on their packability.
I decided to keep the necklace and the cherry top. I would not normally spend $50 on a top, but I liked it a lot. It reminded me of the styles that I see at my favorite store in Bristol called Serendipity. I felt that the price was about the same for a nice top there.
But the item that I was most surprised that I liked were the cut-off shorts. These Kut from the Kloth distressed denim shorts are mom shorts that are slightly edgy and I think I will wear them all summer. They give me coverage in just the right places and feel comfortable.
I decided to send back the bohemian top since it didn’t quite fit my style. But overall, my stylist listened and did a great job at picking items that I will wear a lot as a SAHM on the go.
If you are interested in giving Stitch Fix a try, I hope you will be pleasantly surprised as well!
***Update: I decided to keep all five items. The Stitch Fix Customer Service Department is amazing! Can’t wait to try it again soon!
